I bought one of these for one of my upcoming rifle builds:

I read that for righties it's best to install it at 1 o'clock, so I'm assuming it's 11 o'clock for a lefty. Is that viewed from the muzzle or from the chamber end?

I'm pretty sure in that video of Jerry's, he means for it to be 1 o'clock from the chamber end (for right handers)...so that any downward force is directed into the hand that is supporting the forearm handguard..so in your case, it would be 11 o'clock from the chamber end looking forward, so any downward force will be going into your right hand.....hope this helps.
