An opinion columnist for the Collegiate Times in Virginia took a swipe at so-called “gun-free zones” late last month, and a poll running with the story suggests a majority of readers agree with her.

Do I think it's proper to carry an SKS at port arms through Southcenter Mall? No. But YBYSA when I go there I'm packing. I was almost at the Tacoma Mall shooting over a decade ago, and know some folks who were. They felt pretty damn helpless by obeying the signs...and of course the one guy who did shoot back hesitated at the moment of decision.
