CCW Reciprocity Passes First Hurdle 19-11 in Judiciary

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act passed its first hurdle Wednesday by passing out of the House Judiciary Committee on a 19-11 vote, and it will now head to full consideration on the House floor, possibly before the end of the year.

I hope they get this done before Spring. I'm hoping to take a 10-11 State trip with my travel trailer. As it is now I have to remove my pistol from my belt and replace it when entering and leaving at least 3 states, just over the lack of reciprocity.

If the wingnuts in Congress would spend more time on penalizing the Criminals that carry illegally possibly we'd see a reduction in gun violence through criminal action. Instead the Left would rather disarm the law abiding and leave them defenseless.

This falls in the category of "Things that I don't want to hope for for fear of disappointment."

Others in this category:
Clinton in prison.
Clinton drops out of race.
NFA repealed.
Gun mufflers become a required item when shooting within 1 mile of any city limit. (Except self-defense use.)
9th Circuit is publicly reprimanded by SCOTUS for activist decisions, with a warning to other judges
2nd Amendment is interpreted as it was intended
Pelosi and Schumer renounce their low-IQ past and support The Constitution.

The list is so long.

Was Trump on that list? Was Gorsch on that list?

Even if this passes, expect a long, drawn-out legal challenge by California, Hawaii, New York, et al. And expect the 9th Circus to shoot it down. But maybe SCOTUS will uphold it - who knows. The way things are going in this country, it seems like we ought to just merge the Legislative and Judicial branches together, since it seems like every new law is subject to a court challenge, and the courts seem to like to legislate from the bench.

My True Wish was for Clinton to be defeated... We got Gorsuch, and I do hope he works out to support our Constitution.
I'm thrilled that Clinton was defeated, and I expect a MUCH better .Gov from Trump. (shi*! Expectations lead to disappintments!)
Who knew?! Mr Danoh Sir knew!

50 state reciprocity would melt my brain in happiness... But I don't expect the Controllists to roll over and comply. Our only chance is a sweeping case in SCOTUS that destroys at least 50% of existing anti-2A laws.
Honestly, I don't expect it (on purpose so I don't feel the white hot searing pain of 2A disappointment.)

You know you can add Ferguson to that list as well.
