Do as you please just follow the laws to a T. Don't try to bend flex or manipulate any of them.

I was asked if I could cover a shift for someone on this day and I can't make it dammit.....

Suit and tie would be a good way to represent ourselves. Spouses and girlfriends who carry would be good too.

Calm down.. Read what you just posted!

"That a person may carry a firearm in accordance with chapter 9.41 RCW"

That means us.... Means if you are legal to carry you can carry.

There have been TONS of pro-2A rallies on the grounds... All armed.

2 of these people are members (but will remain nameless unless they want to speak up)

WAC 200-200-470
Agency filings affecting this section
Prohibiting access to state capitol buildings and grounds while armed with dangerous weapons or with devices used to disrupt state business.
(1) No person shall carry any firearm or other dangerous weapon as described in chapter 9.41 RCW on the state capitol grounds or in any building on the state capitol grounds: Provided, That this regulation shall not apply to duly authorized federal, state, and local law enforcement officers or to any federal, state, and local government employee authorized to carry firearms in the course of their public employment; and: Provided, That a person may carry a firearm in accordance with chapter 9.41 RCW.

(2) No person may carry into any building on the state capitol grounds any voice-amplification equipment, blow horns, sirens, or other similar noise-producing devices which may be used to disrupt the conduct of state business by state employees.

SHIT!

I know some one personally that claims that person's firearm was taken by the State Patrol while on the Capitol Campus.

Person was told by by the SP that firearms are illegal on the Capitol Campus.

Capital BLVD runs thru Capital Campus.

There are also laws concerning ingress/egress areas, ie parking lots.

Person claims the SP would do all they can for that person. When said person called the SP member, SP member got angry, and hung up the phone. Person had to PROVE legal ownership of firearm to get it back.

All of this is alleged and here say.

Not telling anyone what to do, what the laws are, or anything else.

i was at that rally last year (didnt OC), plenty of people were OCing hand guns and long guns, couple of WSP troopers were around, it was as peaceful as can be, nobody was harassed or arrested while i was there for 3 hours or so

It sounds like a permit of some sort is needed to have a rally (or parade).
Yes?
No?
Maybe?

Permits have been secured by the awesome guys at OpenCarry.org!

Orphan @ OCDO wrote:Just a UPDATE as of today 1/7 for the Washington state rally:

We have turned in our permits and talked to the event coordination department at the state capital! We will be meeting between The South Diagonal and tivoli Fountain at 11:00am and have a little pow-wow before hand! we do ask that you make your own signs and if you can make one extra!

I have talked with the state police and we can open carry but they do ask if you carry a rifle that the bolt remains open at all times! CPL' are also welcome! The state police will be there and will be walking around talking with us! I ask that we welcome the police and follow there requests! Keep in mind we are trying to show responsabilty with our firearms!

The legislators will be in sesson on the 19th! It will be great for them to see a large, peaceful turnout for our 2A!!

I've OC'd at the 2A rally last year, and even had my picture taken with Pam Roach who was also OC'ing. Shook hands with a number of SP's too. These are state grounds, not federal. Even then, I can carry at Mt. Rainier NP just not in the buildings.

I don't know what you are implying.

Ever hear of Selective Enforcement?

LEO's can lie to you, but do not lie to an LEO!

Read Boston T Party's book called You and the Police.

This is an example of what the anti gun nuts want. In fighting in our community.

I believe what you say, do you doubt my "story?"

Once again, not telling you what to do, or not to do. Just giving you info.

What you do with that is your Right.

Best advice, take your debate someplace else.
