My Son used to have a "Toy Truck". Went to work on it as soon as he got it. Jacked it up as tall as he could, hung some huge tires on it, then the fun began. Needed a ladder to get in it, tires changed the final drive ration so bad that he had to drive on the freeway in 3rd gear all the time, and kept breaking u-joints due to the acute angle created by the lift. He still buys Toy Trucks but they stay stock now.

As for going out 4X4'n, that's how I get to my shooting spots. Now that's fun.

In the group pic, we are all running 285/70/17's which only comes in load range D.

Thanks. I think it's the angle of the shot. I believe we are all running 3" and above. That high of lift isn't needed for Tahuya, just a willingness for some "light" scratches :thumbsup2:

yeah I may have to tag along. I am saving my change for a winch and and a welder so I can fab my bumpers and also winch bracket... I can handle scratches prior to me painting the truck I want to get them all before I do any body work. so by then I will hopefully limit to scrathes over tearing my DD all to shit.

Warhawk do you go up there fishing? or just to canoe around a river or lake?

I would be down to go either way ( fishing and wheeling or just wheeling) I never been there I heard of the place. I will have to look it up and check it out one day also.

i fish all over the peninsula. mostly hike up to alpine lakes for trout, but a few local places around hoodsport have awesome bass fishing. i like to look for new spots on google maps and load up the canoe and try to get there lol

I been out on my single man pontoon the last 4-5 days fishing my local lake. I filler up before I leave the house and load her on the truck. I am actually thinking of getting a kayak also I can tread water faster on that or a canoe than I can on the toon...

I only fished minter creek on the penn. I need to fish more there and also the cow.

fishing has been hot for the summer run. on the cow I will be on the green river tomorrow morning wading in the water loosing gear as always on that river.

ive been thinking about a kayak as well....the canoe is too hard to load and operate if i go alone. i was at a lake near the top of the skokomish valley last weekend doing some camping, and nailed a 17 inch 4 1/2 lb largemouth bass. theres good fishing to be had in the places nobody else can get to....

back on topic! lets go wheeling?

That's a good looking truck!!

Tahuya is a nice place to get your feet wet. It does however require a Discovery Pass.

Here is some info: http://www.nwjeepn.com/Tahuya.html
