July 8th Group shoot

Hey all, trying to get a group shoot going for the sunday after July 4th, planning on having it up at the Greenwater Forest service Road pit.

Trying to compile a list of people that would go.

Greenwater? I should be able to make that, I have a buddy who wants more experience with handguns, so if anyone is willing to share please bring a selection. He`s safe, well taught.

I’m sure i’ll be posting a few clean and shoots in greenwater before then . I’d suggest making this a clean and shoot; this way we can control the area with the help of the rangers and have it mostly Waguns members when the shooting begins.

My Daughter went up there Wednesday. The Lower clear cut gate is closed and she said the upper Pit is pretty Trashed.
Here we go again.

Maybe a March Cleanup and shoot? MADrtcw is right, do a cleanup and we pretty much have the place to ourselves. Unless it's after a Cleanup, i won't even Shoot in either of those two spots.

Lots of time we do clean up in the am, and shoot/pot luck in the pm. Win - Win.

*Pro tip if you guys are doing a pit clean*

Bring:

-Garbage can
-Contractor grade garbage bags
-Gloves
-Large plastic rake
-Contractor dust pan (large metal pan)

One person with a rake can do the work of 10 people that are just using their hands. Especially useful for raking up shotgun hulls

Was just up there. Plenty of mud at the clearing. If a cleanup is planned and I am not working I’m in. And to add to the list of tools. A shovel would help as well to fill in some of the mud holes.
As for the pit, we drove by and it was packed. Looked to be a mess.
