a year or so we did a WAGUNS lasered lowers thru a local gun shop and they were only $89 a piece for the WaGuns lasered into the lower, I missed that one and wish I had got one.

been a few years but I've set up & programed 4 axis CNC maching centers, CNC lathes with milling attachments, G code & converstional programming, done prototype work on every thing from teflon to exotic steels for every thing from medical, military to leaving the galixy.
If you want to do a group run, rent a good 3 axis cnc machine and make magnesium lowers.
I was looking at lowers locally three days ago and they went for $65 alum to $285 magnesium.
or we could do them on a nice bridgeport, I have a drill press I bought from a machine shop in Oly going out of business 4 years ago. I've been looking for a lathe and mill but havn't found one yet.

Okay I guess I'm bored at work... but I have a really busy afternoon schedule.

Anyways. Just spoke to WMA (Wyankos Machine Arms).

Looking for a deal on their anodized 7075 80% AR incomplete Lower with CNC machining (you get to push your own button to finish it off - to keep it all legal).

http://www.wynakosmachine.com/wma_AR_Lower.html

I'll post up group rate when I get their quote (TBA).
*To keep the cost down as much as possible for them. All ten will have to be present at the same time to do this. Date to TBA once we get a quote and we get 10 to pay.

This sounds like a good deal. Also located with in easy driving distance. Let me know more if you can. I used to program 4-axis machining centers years ago. Machining Alum, press the button. I wonder what kind of tolerance they hold. At least we can still buy from another person without the government getting a record of it but it may not be for long if we don't pass I-591.

We'll I don't think there is an interest for a group buy. I would suggest either seeing if the party comes together for a group party to do these or just contact WMA and get their last 6061 as I bought all the 7075 in stock as of today.

They make magnesium lowers? Shit, with all the fire protection I'm required to have around me whenever I'm just machining magnesium like hell I'd ever fire a weapon with any part of it made out of magnesium.

I'm sure they're able to hold tolerances like any other competent machine ship, though I've not been out that way before. I've already got a program written and ready to machine a FCG out of an 80% lower, just awaiting a lower to come my way and possibly the drill jig to go with it. Having the jig would make machining the pocket roughly 9000% easier. Also make sure you drill all your holes before you machine the pocket. If you don't its a much bigger pain in the ass to keep them in line.
