Well I found a great deal on win 572 powder and snagged 2lbs to start with. Now I just gotta decide on which 124gr projectile to run. The everglades v2 plated is the cheapest with no exposed led. All of the FMJ's I'm finding have an exposed led base. I don't know if that's gonna led the barrel, let alone vaporize into the air. Third and most expensive option is a jacked HP, but at least the base is covered.

No, an exposed lead base is not going to lead your barrel.
There is a slight bit of vaporization, but if you shoot outdoors or in a well ventilated space, it's not a big deal. Those Everglades plateds are great bullets though, go for it. _________________ I'm a Morlock, in a land of Eloi... |

You'll like them. I'm still shooting through my stash of them I loaded.....slowly converting those rounds to JHP, the fun way.
ETA: one thing that's better about the 124s, less powder. I've done the math, and 124gr is most economical, due to charge weight. Even though 147s use even less, they always cost more. _________________ I'm a Morlock, in a land of Eloi... |
