Posted data on plated bullets seems skewed, to me anyway.
I have shot Berrys, Ranier, Hsm, Xtremme, Precision somethinganother and a couple more. I chrony all rounds(have to look to see exactly) but can say, in all my weapons anyway, that Berry and Xtremme will handle without peeling copper at and above 1400 fps, Ranier falls in behind those two and the rest if i recall around 11 or 1200 and Hsm is terrible and one box is fine but next isnt. I do shoot a 38 bullet in my 357 rifle over 1600 using Xtremme and have yet to see an issue.
But, thats my experience in my weapons using a chronograph and throwing alot of lead to find what works, and no Glocks in this stable........
I have pretty much went to Xtremme bullets for all plinking were I use plated due to cost and performance. Have seen issues with hp's with all brands not liking higher velocity so I do stick with rn and fp.

I have a LEE turret press, it is junk compared to the one I had 25 years ago. Sloppy as hell, Must be made in China or something but no where near the fit like the old ones. nice to be able to set a turret for each caliber then just switch them but if it's like mine and not a close fit you can't get repeatability worth a damn. I don't like it any would never buy another Lee CLASSIC 4 DIE TURRET PRESS.

I was thinking of getting the Lee Loader manual myself, but Graf & Sons was out of them when I Ordered this week. I was hoping the latest edition has that plated information, I am just re-taking up handloading after a 30 year break. I used to be an RCBS Guy, but the price of the Lee 4 Die turret press makes an appealing argument in their favor. I couldn't pass it up.

For the record, I 'displace' the lube in a larger rubber cake pan using a glass jar, makes for a nice handle and no need to use lead bars as suggested in this link of your post: http://castpics.net/dpl/index.php/the-l ... ce-of-cake .

And this is a metric S***-Ton less expensive than a heated "luber".

If you solder a couple of handles on a cut off, fired. case, you could cut each bullet out of the lube and just move from one to the next. Bullets that stick inside the case will just be pushed up and fall out. If you are real clever you solder the case to a jar lid and then use the jar to collect the bullets as they're pushed up the tube. Closer the case is to the bullet size the cleaner the cut leaving lube only in groove. It'd be a lot like using a primer tube from a progressive press to pick up primers only they'd be caught in the jar instead.

A push with a 38-55 cartridge (Pictured) is much cheaper and easier. ;)
