Here's a great tool that keeps all the "schmuzz" and old primers from getting all over the floor or your bench.

Deprime all your cases before doing any other work. Put the cases in the tumbler with the SS Pins, tumble until clean. Lube, size and trim (doing it in this order gets rid of any "peening" of the case mouth if your tumble cycle was long, too little media, etc.) Cleaning before sizing also keeps the dies from getting scratched or wearing as much. Use a drying lube like One-Shot or RCBS case lube means no cleanup is necessary unless you really want to.

The primers and all the crap that comes out with them is caught in the tube which slips out for easy emptying. Removing the spent primers allows the primer pockets to be cleaned.

Sure beats having to use the press with either a sizing die or de-priming die. I now use this tool while inspecting all my brass before doing anything else to it.

Has a list price of ~$65 but the "Street Price" is more like < $40.

And for those of us who might be interested in purchasing it, it's a Frankford Arsenal Platinum Series Hand DePrimer Tool

Quick tumble clean in walnut media, lube, toss in the case feeder, size and deprime in a standard die on the 650. Swage primer pockets and trim. Rinse the lube off with some denatured alcohol in a zip lock, 200+ at a time, dry on towel for a few minutes. Polish cleaning of your choice. Prime and store brass. Load later. You can add other steps as you want but they all take longer.

Yes, you mght avoid schmutz, but really it slows you down.
