A guy at work was given a rifle from his grandfather and only got one bullet with the gun. He doesn't know anything about it and was wondering what caliber it is so he can go buy some more ammunition for it.

Any one know what caliber this bullet it?

^^^This^^^

A couple measurements would help. Bullet diameter and case length would probably be enough to solve the case [emoji1787] (pun very much intended).

A picture of the rifle would help too. It's quite likely a Mosin Nagant (there are literally millions of them in circulation), but could be something more interesting.
