Was working the shooting line at Hunter Sight In today in Marysville next to this old geezer (he's older and GEEZIER than me!) and of course he "knows best" on all things reloading.

So he was scrutinizing and critiquing everyone's handloads and finally worked his way around to grilling me whether I ever loaded and what, if, how, why and etc etc. Of course my every answer was WRONG!

So, what are YOUR favorite loads, powder, dies and etc for your M1A's and M14's??

The more detail the better!

4895 or IMR 4064 in FGMM or Win brass and a Sierra 165gr BTHP bullet. I find the 165 shoots better than the 168gr BTHPM bullet.

YMMV

I found this article tonight. It says a bunch of the same stuff the geezer was telling me.

What kind/brand of sizing dies are you guys using? Do you have a Stoney Creek (Hornady) or LE johnson Head space set?

RCBS small base sizing die and Wilson arbor seating dies. RCBS Case mic for headspace and seating depth. Lee factory crimp die if the bullet has a cannelure.
