Can anyone comment or point to data that shows what bullet manufacturers prefer a jam or a jump best, based on field trials? Specifically 30-06 and 308. (.308 diameter bullets)

Thanks in advance!

older article with some practical tips, geared towards berger bullets, but arguably applicable to all: http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2009/03/berger-tips-for-loading-vld-bullets/

newer article, but more generic in info: http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/tag/jumping-bullets/

proof from another forum that there is no consensus, rather there are pros and cons to both and you need to weigh those along with experimentation to figure out what works best for your situation with your bullet and your rifle: http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/to-jump-or-jam-to-the-lands.3777671/
