I think overall their are many more better prepared than in the recent past BUT there are a lot of people who are still woefully unprepared.

Been pointing that out since I learned about EMPs in high school. Why would any country want fo go toe-to-toe with our military when they could drop an EMP and watch us eat ourselves like starving rats in the following supply chain disruption?

I used to work for Korry Electronics in Seattle. We made roughly 150 keyboards per month for over two years. All were EMP certified. Testing on each one took at least 12 hours. From extreme heat to extreme cold - aircraft landing & take off simulations - you name it. We supplied Raytheon with these. I think they had other companies suppling them as well.
Yep, there out there.

I'm guessing many of his old cars do not. But I wonder if the new "super EMP bombs" would warrant keeping a few coils, alternators, and condensers in a faraday cage.

Spare ignition parts and carbs are on hand and protected.. Vintage outboard motors will be at a premium. Old Briggs and Stratton engines will save the human race.

https://www.armystudyguide.com/content/ ... ise-.shtml(5) Ensure that all electronic equipment and radios are turned off, if not required for use. (6) Ensure that power cables, antennas, and unused electronic equipment are disconnected and removed from power mounts. (7) Ensure that communications and electronics equipment are placed inside bunkers or armored vehicles to enhance protection against an electromagnetic pulse (EMP). >>>>>>> I always thought it strange that we would train to prepare for the contingency of an EMP but not consider it as a matter of civil defense.
