I always thought a garbage truck would be a good base for a BOV.

i'd start with this

Oshkosh Striker 3000 Series, 6 wheel drive.


strip all the fire gear except the water cannon on the front, that could come in handy

I'll take a subie over a HMMWV any time. Stereo/AC/Heat/Heated seats/Blue tooth/ect.
