In case you forget to check that section. I have added a preliminary group buy for hand pumps to connect to your well. I know a bunch of us live rural and have wells. Do you have a way to pressurize your house from your well with the electricity out for extended periods? If not a couple of us are looking into getting a high grade hand pump to connect. These pumps I am looking at are stainless steel. Food grade PVC for the lift. Can handle wells as deep as 325 feet (Way deeper than most of us will need!) There are also options to connect solar motors to the pump and connect it to the house or pressure tank connection and use the hand pump to refill the pressure tank! So I am working with someone who will give us a group discount of at least 10% off a system. They are customer designed to what you need. It is not one of those cheap plastic systems, like from Flojak. Those system are fine for the casual or very special locations, but not really for serious installations. I had a system quoted for me using some very rough figures. The total system with delivery runs about $1500 though with better numbers and a discount that would likely go down to about $1200. What I would like to see. Is what others who have a system in place think. Is anyone else interested in getting a system. Ideas, contacts, places to look into to see if we could get a better deal for the same or similar system. Looking forward to your replies. |
