Who's knowledgeable on wild edibles? What's out there? What have you ate, how was it? I didnt didnt realize thimble berries were an edible thing until after last season. I've walked past these since i was a child and was under the assumption they werent edible. I'm certainly trying them this year https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubus_parviflorus

northwest foraging is a good resource. Plenty to eat out there, no reason to starve no matter whats going on. The berries can be a treat, fireweed not too shabby

Maple blossoms are ready right now. Pretty tasty sauteed up some last night. Flavor hard to describe but pleasant.

Had my first thimble berries today. I've walked past them for years, always thought they were inedible. Very fragile, and appear to have a very small period where they are ripe. Heavy berry flavor, oddly not too sweet

I figure a ton more will be ripe in the next day or two. I also at a bunch of the small wild blackberries. Out at our new place the woods is full of huckleberries, salmon berries, black berries and thimble berries.
