Ban him for 24hrs!

Yeah it was great shooting with the Caveman. Wind was insane at times!

We murdered the steel though. Twas an appropriate venue for celebration of April 19/20.

I decided that I’m going to load as many of my components as I can while I still have my wit’s about me and shoot more. Seems to be working.

I like this plan. :thumbsup2:

worked at draw filing the barrel of my Kibler rifle, got all the machine marks out of it, on to wet sanding, fitting the sights, and finishing.

It was a dumb joke! Those kits look terrific. I need a new gun project like I need a hole in my head though.

True to my word, I loaded the rest of some pulled bullets, about 50ish 40S&W.
Quickly switched over to 9mm, which I have a bazillion of and pumped out 250 RMR 124g RN’s in short order. For me, that’s a lot.

Hit the range today. It was less an accuracy test and more of a function test. Even having had some caffeine in me from the day before my grouping was better than usual.

I tested the 686 with 2 other brands of 357 Mag ammo. Both exhibited the same issue with the cylinder not rotating. Calle S&W again and opened an RMA with this gun too.

Shot my Glock 29 with some Magtech. The ammo seemed warm, I like that. I did have the slide lock back several times with the last round in the magazine. It definitely wasn't my thumb. Not sure why it was happening. I even tried pulling back on the slide to release it, but it was catching on the mag. Still, I love that gun.

I also shot my Glone Wolf 19. It has an aftermarket mag. I enjoy shooting it. BUT the thing BIT ME! My hand hands below the grip and when seating a mag I pinched my palm lol. It has Glock Night Sights which are a bit shiny. So, to help my eyes I am going to order some stock sights. Getting old sucks, I had to think about focusing on that front sight. Never had to do that when I was younger.

Oh, and I ordered a Taurus Revolver for a plinking toy since the S&W experiments have failed.

I am still waiting for my G34 to get out of jail. I have several police trade in 13 round mags for that. I am going to start preloading my mags for the range. I forgot my loader in my other range back and was crunching rounds in with my fingers which isn't fun.

I have to find a cheap source for Glock 19 mags so I can do the same. I have a handful of new mags and 3 or 4 aftermarket 15 rounders. I am using the aftermarket mags for the time being. Definitely need some more.

I've done a bunch of kits.....the Kibler kit is by far the gold standard for flintlock kits, pricey, but worth it. The lock alone is a work of art, and the inletting is superb with minimal work to be done.

So I messed up. Sorta.

There was an Anaconda on GunBroker that was ending soon and the hi bid was kinda low. So I threw in am "if I steal it at this price it's not too bad" bid. Well I kinda won. I didn't steal it per se. After shipping, GB fees, transfer fee it's as if I bought it for market rate and didn't have to pay tax on it.

I'm probably going to make this my range toy and turn that stupid 629 into a hammer as I keep threatening.

Experimenting with finish on the patch box cover of my Kibler Long rifle, 3 coats Iron nitrate for stain, 4 coats Permalyn sealer for finish

Made another target stand today.

I think I'm done with chains, the steel resonates so much better when on a hook.

Takes down easy, crossmember is just a slip fit, can't wait to try it out!

Hey VIni, that's a slick target stand. thumbsup

Let us know how it holds up. If you're hitting it with rifles, I'm particularly interested to hear if it stays put, or starts skidding around as you beat on it.
