Are you sure it's Nickel and not stainless? Most DW are either blue or stainless.

The stainless serial numbers start with an "S". This does not have an "S" at the beginning of the serial number.

Someone likely refinished it in nickel or polished the heck out of it.

Interesting, I did some digging and that seams to be the case. The didn't seam to make many in nickel, but they are out there.

Could be hard chromed as well. I had mine hard chromed.
