When this story first broke I contacted an editor at my local paper. He just forwarded me a link to the "Full Story" on why Kesselring's lost their license. Do you think that 2400 "unaccounted for" firearms might have something to do with it? At one time the number was over 3400. Also instances of not following waiting period, multiple sales to non-dealers, sales of firearms previously used in crimes, sales to people without WA Drivers license (when required). This didn't just happen suddenly, it's been going on for over 7 years with the ATF warning them all along the way. Here's the story: http://bit.ly/JStrQo

I stayed away from this thread because of the flak I received at TOS........now everyone knows the truth. Or most of it anyways.

Wow, that's a pretty damning article there!
Even though they were loved by many, it sounds like they had some SERIOUS issues that they couldn't resolve, even after years of warnings. Makes me wonder of the new range/shop opening up....

Read the part of the article that referred to the Lawsuit. I'm sure that the "family members" involved in the new range/shop are not including the family member they are suing. At least I would think not.

At least I would think not. Actually.....the ones being sued are involved in the new shop/range. Ken and Don. Ken was the FFL holder and VP. Don is President. Don is heavily involved in the new store. Not sure on Ken. Jerry is not involved in the new store and has filed the lawsuit against his brothers Ken, Don, et al. He worked in the old store for a time but is pretty much a silent partner. Brad is deceased. I am not sure if their father Ron is involved in any of the lawsuits. There are many wives and other relatives in the business as well.

At a recent range outing someone mentioned that Ron was suffering from early Alzheimer's. I haven't seen him at the Store for over 3 years and that last meeting was somewhat "different".

With that many guns missing and sales without checking ID - I don't think I can even support the new store with a clear conscious.
This is pretty sickening to hear about.

Someone there must have thought "Paperwork" was something you did in the restroom after "dropping a deuce". I found the story a little shocking as every time I bought a firearm there over the years the paperwork I saw was a big deal. In the last couple of years the Serial Number showed up on the "Register Receipt".

General Nonsense wrote: It wants me to create a username and password. You may need to try another computer. They may think you've exceeded your "free views" or something. I get right through on either link and I'm not a subscriber. I don't know if the Admin's would like me to post the entire article. If they read this, can get through themselves, maybe one of them could cut and paste along with all the necessary copyright info required today. I just noticed that I have "4 views left" and since I only looked at this article that apparently means you only get 5 "peeks" for free. Once you view an article you can view it again without subtracting from the total.
