Been seeing them around recently. I'd like to attract them closer to home for easy harvesting. Planting milo grain has been suggested.
Any suggestions to attract them?

I loathe those damn things. They're protected, if I read the regs right. Do what you will with that info. (Or if I'm wrong, please correct me because I would really love to know I could pop a few of the bastards.)

Eurasian collared doves are much larger than mourning doves (see photo), and can be taken year-round with a Washington hunting license. Mourning doves can only be taken during September through October seasons

We have a shit ton of them over here. A co-worker will go blast the shit out of them on lunch break, and then bring in jalapeño dove poppers the next day. Pretty good.

Actually can be hunted without license if they are in your crops!

We use sunflower seed hearts to get them where we want to shoot. They like to sit on power lines, which is a no no to shot at even with a bb gun, so you wanna get them on the ground. We shoot them with pellet rifles at the port off the top of the lights also. Again you want to be confident in the shot and background even with a pellet rifle. I just breast them, and since they feed so much from bird feeders, they're basically grain fed and are delicious.
They are a non indigenous invasive species, and should be killed if you have the chance.

They have a call similar but louder than a mourning dove.

Milo planted and bunch of seed spread around and a couple feeders setup. Got 3 nesting pairs in the trees near the front pasture! See if we get some chicks soon. Could be a regular infestation this time next year.
EDIT: Evidently I missed a few as there are now six nesting pairs!
