I am happy to announce, after much blood, sweat and gnashing of teeth...the website is up and running. As of the moment it is very simple with the basic information, but not all functions are working...such as the pay feature. We will be working on it very hard this next week to get it finished with more courses we offer, their descriptions and dates of availability. As of now we have two classes on board that are up and coming in both February and March. We will be offering just four different classes this year, from basic "Out of the Box" new gun owner class, "Foundation" the next step of running your firearm efficiently, "Running the Gun" which goes more into street use and mental training, and topping it off is our "S.A.T (Skill-Action-Technique) this class focuses on movement, positional platform engagement, partner and group movement etc. https://cerberus-training.com/

I'm posting a link to your site so that people are able to check it out. Google didn't really narrow it down much. https://cerberus-training.com/Also I see you are out of Goldendale, Washington. Awesome!! Nice to have some training available in our region. Good luck!! Ps. Welcome to Waguns Steve! PSS. Looks like this isn't your first rodeo and another Waguns member had some positive feedback about your training and/or instructing. Here is that thread: https://waguns.org/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=85075

How about teaching gun owners how to vote? Kidding aside, good luck with the group. But in seriousness, register everyone that comes. Hold a 5 minute brief on the threat against gun rights in WA, and the importance of voting.

Thank you for posting the link to the website, it obviously didn't work when I posted last night...but have fixed it in my post as well.
My goal is providing quality training at a fair price. After talking with many friends and gun owners, they didn't feel there was a place around that was affordable. Hope to fix that, and keep things that way.
Part of the introduction time of the courses is to discuss 2A issues.
Always looking for way to improve the business, with suggestions of courses, content etc.
Should have most of the schedule for the year on the site by next week. I know how to run a gun, but much gnashing of teeth when it comes to tech schtuff...am off to crash my server, wish me luck!

Rounds required for the class would be a helpful addition to the webpages, along with hours. Just all required info really, lunch provided or bring? Bathroom on-site or wear your dependz? CPL required? Pistol work during rifle class, if so, non-approved holsters (such as shoulder rigs or whatever), pistol rounds required, # of rifle mags required, bring your own shooter's mat, etc.

Yes, all that information is in the works.

We have updated the website extensively. We now have added new courses and dates up into May, with June and July being added in the next few days. We also added suggested gear to bring list and ammo requirements. https://cerberus-training.com/

I'm not seeing where the classes are held, either a city (or even a state) or any specific location (range name, the physical address of your range, etc.).
Also, you might consider adding a "training courses" link to the bottom of every page. When I didn't see the location under one of the Run the Gun course offerings, I clicked on "about us" to see if I could find the info I needed. Once I was there, it wasn't easy to navigate back to the training page. A really dedicated shooter will dig through the site more but right now there's way too much friction to sustain interest from people who found you through a search engine.

The "Contact Us" page has all the information about were the classes are held as there is an address, I have since added it to the bottom of the home page. I've also added a more detailed description of where we are located in the "Contact Us" page. Let me know if this helps.
Turning this passion of mine into a small business has been interesting to say the least. Am able to keep course costs down, because everything is located on my property and am doing this mostly on my own time, while doing the family thing, help running an ammo factory, part time work fitting ballistic vests to LE folks in my region.
Although the website and the marketing side of things, which is not not my forte, is a bit daunting at times, the course material and training is not. Have been training many LE and public people for many years and they kept coming back asking for a year around training facility in the area, so here we are.
As most things go, there will be some rough spots at the start, but with top notch folks around, we'll get it smoothed out in short order.
We obviously won't have the most flashy of websites out there, but that's not my goal. My goal will always be to provide relevant confident use training that is most affordable, and never have to apologize for anything less.
P.S. - I thought it was a nice touch, but my three headed dog logo...click on that, it takes you to the home page.
Be well all...

Another thing you might add are requirements for each class. EG: Out of the box - no requirements except the new firearm, ammunition and desire to learn. Foundation - Out of the box, or other training such as military/LE experience, or long term exposure without formal training. Run the gun - ...? Etc.

I try not to compartmentalize people as much as possible. I find most folks who have done much shooting will be able to handle a "Run the Gun" course, it will be some work for them but in the end they will appreciate what they are capable of accomplishing.
I find some schools that require a prerequisite are doing it for the money, and not for the good of the student.
I contact each student well in advance of the start date of the course, and get a feel of where they are in their shooting proficiency. There have been times that I will turn down a student based on their experience, and direct them to a course that will help build their skills, that way they will get more out of the "next tier" course, instead of struggling.
My hope is that when a person reads the course content, they will be able to take an honest assessment of themselves as a shooter and apply for the proper course, and will contact me if they have any questions and/or concerns.
The number posted for the business is my personal cell number. I will always be available to answer any questions or discuss concerns of any potential student, or anyone interested in shooting. If I ever get so big for the proverbial pants where I don't offer this kind of service, please someone slap me...I never want to get that detached from my goals. I encourage to call or text me, as others on here can attest, I answer them all.
Be well all...

Which LE orgs have you been training? Are you familiar with Doc in Yakima? What's your background, certs, who'd you train with?

I have been a WSCJTC (Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission) certified firearms instructor since 1993. WSCJTC is the governing body for Police and County Sheriff's in the state.
Taught firearms at the academy for about three years. helped rewrite the academy and post academy training curriculum, back in 2008. Was part of a group that taught and certified all LE instructors in the state.
Am part of the WSLEFIA (Washington State Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors Assoc.) group. I was one of the original members when it was founded back in 1991. Every year the assoc. has a week long seminar in July, which met at the Sun Valley Shooting Park out toward Moxee, but now meets at Rattlesnake Ridge Gun Club outside of Richland. The group brings in instructors from all over to teach classes throughout the week. Over the years we've had Clint Smith, Chuck Taylor, John Farnam, Todd Jarrett, Ray Chapman, Louis Awerbuck, Dennis Tueller, Kyle Lamb, even Col Jeff Cooper came out, along with Gary Roberts ballistic expert, and many other names that at the moment have escaped me, along with training groups such as LMS Defense, Safariland Shooting School and Magpul. Even trained with Larry Vickers when he came out to the Okanogan area for his 1911 course back in 2011. I have paper certificates backing up everything.
Been trained in 1911 work by one the best 'smiths around, Richard Neimer. He was with Detonics back in the 80's and 90's, and was the Chief pistolsmith with Olympic Arms / Safari Arms before his untimely passing a few years ago. He developed the Janus Scoremaster on his own.
Been through many armorer schools from S&W, Remington, Glock, Colt, Sig and HK.
I have been blessed to have been trained by some of the best in the industry...even some of the patriarchs.
I do not know a "Doc", is that his registered name on here? I may know him if there's a real name attached.

Thanks for the follow up. I'll not violate doc's opsec here, but it's not a user name here. We can talk further at class. Which of the area LE orgs are you teaching? Any of them using the LE area of suntargets? Your facility is indoors (mentioned year round)?
