I'd run a poll, but we all know how that would turn out,eh? How long before Seattle bus shooting is exploited? How long will it be before gun prohibitionists exploit slain Seattle gunman Martin Anwar Duckworth, fatally shot yesterday by Seattle police just minutes after shooting a Metro bus driver, and the fact that he was able to obtain a handgun despite a record of drug-related crimes? http://www.examiner.com/article/how-lon ... -exploited

Every time I read a story of a felon with a gun shooting someone in Seattle I wonder if this will be the incident when former chief Gil Kerlikowske's gun will turn up.
"McSchwinn" should be cautious about exploiting this. He may end up showing that even buses aren't safe and Police can't be everywhere.

I wonder if anyone has bothered to point out to them that the bad guy with a gun was stopped by a good guy with a gun. Several good guys with guns, actually.(don't have the book of faces...) The fact that they were off duty LEO shouldn't matter as it could have easily been a law abiding citizen CCW'er as well.

Email from Silky... Quote: Dan -- It is time for us to come together and do something.
Incidents like the shooting of a Metro bus driver yesterday will continue injecting terror into our lives, and the lives of our friends and neighbors, until we stand up and say ENOUGH.
It is time for commonsense reforms to reduce gun violence. It is time to require criminal background checks on all gun purchases.
It is time for Initiative 594.
Stand up today, and endorse I-594.
Thanks to the quick action of Seattle's first responders, the bus driver is going to be OK, and thankfully no one else, aside from the gunman, was seriously injured.
As we know all too well, it could have been much, much worse. It's time to do something.
Please click here, and join thousands of your fellow citizens who are stepping up to reduce gun violence by endorsing I-594.
80 percent of Washingtonians support requiring simple criminal background checks of all gun purchases, but the state legislature has failed to act.
We won't.
And with your help, we're going to -- finally -- do something. Thank you, Zach

You're right there is no way he could have shot that bus driver without stealing or buying that gun. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=n1wV3lmbSv4Oh....wait....... Maybe we could have background checks for pipes and hand tools.
