Now you have been busy. Much like Old Growth. I’ll keep most of mine frozen. They thaw quickly if needed. I do plan on making (attempting) some jelly and syrup. Oh and I just added Greek yogurt to my shopping list

Holy hell guys! Y'all have been busy! I'm surprised none of you are making smoothies! With frozen berries, you don't need to add ice. Berries, a banana, some yogurt, a splash of juice and some spinach. Blend and done. Thanks so much for meeting up with me on Saturday. I'm planning on making another run in 2-3 weeks.

Well, this has diddly-squat to do with blueberries, but I started the process with this post below so I'll conclude it here too. MadPick wrote: Stuff lemon quarters (about 3 lemons, maybe a little more) into a quart jar. Fill with vodka. Add two tablespoons sugar. Give it a shake, let it sit for a week-ish. So they say. So after 15 days, I drained the lemon-y vodka. It has a pretty strong lemon taste, but is very pleasant. That left me with a bunch of very juicy lemon wedges . . . well, I sure wasn't gonna just throw them away, was I?! So I squeezed all of them, and wound up with this: On the left is the vodka-y lemon juice; on the right is the lemon-y vodka. So what to do with these things? Make lemon drops, of course! So yeah, a few of those were consumed in the house last night. Note that there is NO sugar around the rim; these are MANLY lemon drops, goddammit. None of that frilly shit. And they were really, really good. But it does beg the question . . . if you mix the vodka-y lemon juice and the lemon-y vodka at the end of the process, then did you really accomplish anything? Should I have just skipped the whole lemon-vodka thing, and made the same damned lemon drop with straight lemon juice plus straight vodka?

I'm absolutely loving my blueberry yogurt . . . I'm still making a batch once a week, and having it for breakfast every day. I haven't tried the blueberry vodka yet, I'm still giving it a shake every day but it has a ways to go before I drink it.

MadPick wrote: Well, a small amount [of the blueberries] went towards this: Start with a quart jar. Add two cups of vodka and one cup of sugar, shake to dissolve. Top it up with blueberries (maybe 2 cups?). Apparently the next step is to let it sit for a couple of months, shaking/turning occasionally. November 14 . . . January 12 . . . that's almost like two months, right?! I wasn't sure whether I just wanted to strain out the blueberries and discard them, or blend them up and keep them in the liquid. So the first thing I did was pour one complete jar in the blender (both blueberries and liquid), then add the blueberries only from a second jar, and I blended it all together. There's plenty of "pulp" in that; it tastes good, but there's a little bitterness or something in it from the blueberries. Meh. So the remaining three jars, I strained out the blueberries and threw them away. Here's my final haul . . . the three bottles on the left are strained, and the bottle on the right has the pulp in it. The strained stuff is pretty damned decadent. Nice and sweet and fruity and smooth.

I keep thinking I'm done with this thread, but.... Blueberry lemon drop, sorta. Four ounces of the blended-with-blueberries liqueur, one ounce of shit lemon juice, shaken with ice and strained. It's actually pretty good, much better than the blended-with-blueberries liqueur by itself.

Ok ...well arguably that could be used as an anti-covid vaccine and a breakfast drink. I will have to try some with the vodka..
I made mine without alcohol....I used the blueberries I bought to make some smoothies. My sister broke the box into freezer bags, so we could all share.
I used half bag of blueberries A small amount of sparkling blood orange limonade And I've started drinking a liquid collagen from Costco, so dumped some in No ice needed, just frozen berries
Blender for a few and dang delicious healthy smoothie!
