Cherry coke and dr pepper reduced down is the start to some really good pork bbq sauces

Using cherry coke instead of water when cooking a spiral ham is the shit! Cherry 7up works pretty good too. Also work good for thinning jarred bbq sauces, but I usually use beer since there is always one open when I'm grillin.
