We are open to almost anything , just trying to find something local that isn’t our usual dine out spot . Looking for pierce county location and not over 150$ a couple . Let me know what you recommend! We have been on a Mexican kick though .

Tillicum Village Dinner and entertainment all in one.

You leave out of Seattle north of ferries terminal and take a short boat ride to Blake Island. Salmon dinner and American Indian history show as you have your dinner.

It is at your max or more budget. But I highly recommend it. It’s a boat ride, dinner and entertainment all for one price.

Stanley and Seaforts.
Wife and I like them for bigger dinners.
But $150 might be a tad short if she has expensive tastes and cocktails.

This is one of the few places we will go for steak. My in-laws bring two huge boxes of steaks from their family farm in Nebraska every fall. It's hard to top that

We go to Asado a few times a year. It's walking distance from our house

IIRC a steak will be in the $30-40 range including the sides. The polenta is so good I've ordered an extra side of it before

I'd also recommend Johnny's Dock on the Foss waterway, Anthony's at Point Defiance, or Lobster Shop if you'd rather have seafood

I also noticed an extra 3% charge for them to pay their not server staff.

El Gauchos in Tacoma is pretty amazing.

Asado & El Gaucho, both mentioned, are great ideas.

You mentioned Mexican, and the Argentinian Asado is close....

Another idea in Tacoma is Cactus, which is High End Mexican; and another good place, though not Mexican, is Pacific Grill.

There are some new spots in both Gig Harbor, and Puyallup, but haven't been yet, so don't know.

There's a great Mediterranean spot in Kent, with a sister spot in Olympia, if you decide you want to travel further.

While Yelp reviews can be somewhat suspect, you can google 10 best dinners in Tacoma, or whatever, and then browse the pics....you can see if the interior has the vibe you want for an anniversary.

Good luck, let us know what you decide & how it works out :thumbsup2:

If you're carnivores, and are looking for variety in meats, then Texas de Brazil could be a consideration . It's a Brazilian churrascaria experience with multiple choices of beef, pork, lamb, and chicken. Starve yourselves beforehand to have room to chow down!

I know this would be a bit of a drive, or train ride, but hop down to Portland and hit a bunch of Mexican food trucks. Portland is well known for great food trucks, and the food is top notch. I know it isn't high class sit down. But this could be fun too. Map out a bunch of trucks in a given area and hit them up. Many of them use social media to advertise.
