Screw you Chick-fil-A and Poop-eyes

KFC ups the ante by testing a donut and fried chicken sandwich

https://www.delish.com/food-news/a29087 ... -sandwich/

Quote:
The sandwich is absolutely what it looks like; it will feature a piece of fried chicken between two glazed donuts for $5.99. It's actually just one of two pastry/chicken combinations the chain is testing out. The other is a Fried Chicken & Donut Basket meal, which includes chicken on the bone or chicken tenders paired with one donut for $5.49. You can make it two donuts $7.49 if you're feeling up to the task. Just want a donut? That will run you $1.

In the 80's I knew a guy that was a cook at KFC.
He said it all starts out as Original Recipe.
Next day they re-batter the leftovers and call it Extra Crispy.
Third day they dip it in BBQ sauce.

I believe him, he wouldn't eat there.

Yup. my little brother worked at KFC in high school. They are the kings of reusing their Chicken a few days after it was cooked.

KFC should change their name to Boring chicken. Even Safeway is better, hell gas station chicken is better. Asia is what keeps them afloat, they love it

I agree.... Albertsons had the best recipe, but when they merged with Safeway, they got their recipe ***almost*** --- I recall the Albertsons being a little crisper and the pieces being a little bigger. But the Safeway chicken was my goto for fried chicken cravings.... got an 8 piece at least every other week or more...... until..... I figured out how to bbq chicken on the grill that can't be touched by anyone. Bbq takes away alot of the guilt when it comes to chicken --- even the roasted chickens seem kinda bland.

Me too. I was at a Sacramento Kings game last year and there was a concession place that sold this, but I think they split the donut like a bun. It was seriously tasty. Like chicken and waffles, but less messy!

Both the KFC`s in Skagit sucks neither could get your order right if their life depended on it and the last time I got some chicken from Mt. Vernon both my wife and I were sitting on the toilet for most the night. MRC is right if you want good chicken go to one of the stores.
