I'll eat just about anything, but I really can't get excited for most Thanksgiving/Christmas dishes. It's mostly carbs, grease, and salt. Most people in my family like tater tot casserole but to me it tastes like gloppy white trash sadness. See above. I love most summer cookout food except for American potato salad (the yellow muck filled with mayonnaise). German potato salad is good to go.

My Mom is German and makes a dish called Kase Knepf. If you like cottage cheese, butter and fried dough then you might like this.

I have ingested a LOT of chunky milk.
Friend of mine gave me some kefir grains.
They were dead. I didn't know that. (She suspected it. LOL)
For more than six months I was drinking milk that was intentionally set out on the counter for two weeks.
Yeah. Chunky milk. Had to shake or stir the chunks back in, to make it like 'thick milk'.
Didn't kill me...

Any votes for asparagus? I try, but can only handle a bite or two.
I love asparagus
I really like asparagus, but only when its thinner than a pencil.... any bigger and it gets woody and stringy and the taste changes drastically for the worse. Try the thinner stuff and you may change your mind.

Agreed - it's a hard pass on the thick stuff. Has to be thin, properly trimmed (woody ends removed), and cooked until just tender (but not floppy). Then it's delicious.
