If you want a great product for steak sandwiches like this, most butcher shops sell meat pucks. Basically it is thinly sliced beef that is formed into a shape, frozen, and cut into a disc. They work great on a hot griddle. If anyone has passed through Bozeman MT, and have enjoyed the cheese steak or pepper steak from the Pickle Barrel, they use the same thing, and their sandwiches are awesome.
Fred Meyer also sells shaved beef that works well too.

Schwanns sells "philly cheese steak meat" no veggies or anything, just the meat. Paper this frozen pucks of meat. Works great for all sorts of things on the flat top. Will have to check out my local butcher. Thanks for the heads up.

Nice. Surface looks more like carbon steel, so season like a wok.

Which is better in your opinion....I know the Camp Chef is also a gas BBQ with grates under the griddle and also comes pre-seasoned but is a little smaller I think and more money

I use my Camp Chef for camping. I have a 2 burner. Have 2, single flat tops for it. Its small enough to move around, and even that isnt super easy, yet enough space for what I need. Tons of breakfast on both flat top, or can pull one off and use my Cajun Cooker or something else on the open burner. For home I have the Blackstone 36" pro series. Part of an outdoor kitchen project on the works. I wouldn't want to use either for the other role. Strictly camping, Camp Chef cast irons are true cast, heavy, and require more upkeep to stay non stick. Same as any ither cast iron. Camp Chef is just a steel plate, I found it easier to season and maintain, yet not as good as true cast. Holding temp even throughout and such.

I might also add, spend the money and get the gray one, believe its a "pro" or some such. The festures are worth it in my opinion for that application. We use ours constantly.
