Between my 3-5 cycles of the griddle seasoning sessions do I need to let the griddle cool off ? Or do I jjst wait til the smoke point stops and lather it up again and keep repeating that cycle ? I watched the video on their website they just don’t specifically say if you turn the temps off and cool it down before the following cycles or not

I let mine cool down between seasoning's, and i found it really needed 5 sessions to become non stick.

I didn’t let mine cool down , will that be a problem ? I let it go til it stops smoking then toss another coat of oil

Shouldn't be a problem. If it mattered I think they would have said to let it cool between coats in the instructions.

In that case, do it again and let it cool between seasonings.

Did you let it cool completely or just down to warm to the touch ?

Keep cooking. Keep seasoning. I seasoned 7 times with grape seed oil, keeping the griddle hot and reapplying oil after the smoke stopped.

My first dozen meals still stuck. I ended up adding olive oil as a glaze before I put the food down. Now, no need for additional oil unless you are cooking lean food (chicken, salmon, etc).

Just keep cooking. Bacon, lots of bacon. Also, rub an onion cut in half on it while hot.

I did 5 seasonings and let it cool between them and that did the trick. I just used Vegetable Oil and it was good to go. :thumbsup2:

I don't use any added oil with Bacon, but i do with veggie's and it works great. Any meats get a shot of Oil on the griddle first and i have no issues.

:thumbsup2:

Smashburger's, Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches and Breakfast. Try the Philly's just using 80% Ground Beef, they are good. :thumbsup2:

So how different is seasoning a griddle surface from cast iron?

Blackstone has a ton of recipes on YouTube. Also the Waltwins have some great videos.

Smashburgers are always a crowd pleaser as well as breakfast.

I get asked for scrambled eggs done in some bacon grease almost every week end.

Between my pellet grill and my blackstone, I do 90% of my cooking outside which I prefer.

My wife does a great job with the sides.
