I'm always surprised at what can be done with some pretty basic ingredients, 99% of which have non-refrigerated options like canned tuna, or canned chicken, that can be had relatively inexpensively.

Do you think there's a market for such a book that people would buy?

The stuff I make is super simple, needing nothing more than a knife, a fork/spatula, a single burner, and a pan... and to me, seems like common sense, just knowing what goes well together.

dumb example incoming...

I was gonna make chicken fajita burritos.

I had green pepper, and onion, but realized I had mushrooms and broccoli that were about to go bad.

So, instead, I tossed the pepper, onion, mushroom, broccoli and some garlic in a pan with sesame oil, then cooked some canned chicken, tossed in some chili paste, and a couple packets of soy sauce I had laying around, and then made some rice...

Went from Chicken fajita burrito, to chicken stir fry, with only a minor ingredient change, but with a completely different taste profile.

Does anyone give a shit? Would it be worth putting something together in maybe an E-book and toss it on Amazon or something? Maybe get some yuppies to 'wanna eat like a homeless guy' while still being comfortable? Hahahaha

Maybe a blog or website.

Some little story, followed by a recipe.

Then generate revenue from ads.

It’s what many foodie sites do.

Then they come out with a cookbook, which they tout on their site.

The website/blog traffic would let you gauge the interest in whether to pursue it further...

I'm thinking that hobo's would taste pretty bad unless they were cleaned up first. Maybe a processing plant that at least rinses them off before they're packaged up.

It all depends on how you cook ‘em...

Do this. You seem texh savvy enough, and have the time to create good content. Nothing but air and opportunity.

Yes, this.

Sure, people still buy cookbooks … but a simple Google search is a far more common tool, I believe.

"Do you think there's a market for a hobo cookbook?"

The sexy/slutty hippy chicks living in vans on Youtube have this market cornered.

To bust your bubble use google and do a search for one pan cook books. Been done plenty of times already but the old school Boy Scout stuff is getting harder to find like cooking a chicken in a coffee can.

Write a memoir and include a recipe at the end of each chapter.

"Hobo" is indicative of a position juxtaposed to that of privilege, and this triggers me. I suggest you do some serious introspection and plead your contrition on the tweet'r-book thing, you recalcitrant rayciss.

You gotta remember to bleed then after you slaughter them. Also country hobos taste better than city hobos.

I like the memoirs with a recipe at the end idea.
