Tried the Motor City. Was not impressed.

Mostly bread and grease, not much cheese or sauce. I guess the box had been dropped since I ended up having to relocate most of the little pepperoni cubes from the edges of the tray back to the top of the pizza. Based on some photos here, it seems quality control varies widely.

There is alot of cheese/pep on the ones I have always gotten, so much so it mostly end up on the sides after handling by costco, truckers, us getting it home. I always pull the pizza out of the carboard tray and pour the toppings back in middle of the pizza the n put it back in tray and spread them out.

Yeah, I went to Costco today so I decided to take another foray into this controversial pizza. :ROFLMAO:

One of the pizzas in the box was fine, the other one you can see in the photo above. I got the toppings all straightened out, added garlic powder, red pepper flakes and black pepper to my half, and ended up with this:

And it was quite good. thumbsup

Damn it!

I have resisted this thread until now. Now going to Costco to check on this. And my wife would love to try the cauliflower crap.

Here's another one to try out. Quite a bit more expensive, but worth it for a special occasion.

https://www.goldbelly.com/rocket-inn?ref=gs

"Kings of Nebraska Pizza Since 1950
There's New York Pizza, Detroit Style, Chicago Deep Dish, Nebraska Square...you've never had Nebraska Style? Well then you've obviously never been to the town of Indianola, Nebraska. It was here that an Italian bride named Fiorella Blume settled with her American husband, bringing her family's secret pizza recipe with her after the end of World War II. It didn't take long before word spread of her pizza in this small Nebraska town and the Rocket Inn was built to feed the locals clamoring for that unique crust. Decades later and not much has changed, especially that one of a kind pizza taste, as the Rocket Inn sells over 500 pizzas a week in a town that counted only 552 residents in the most recent census. No matter where you are in the country, it's safe to say this slice will be unlike any other style of pizza you've had before."

For that price I would just hit up a good non national chain/franchise or a good mom and pop. We went from $6 per pizza to $33 pretty quick lol

I do think some guys lost sight of the purpose for frozen pizza. It's (usually) cheap, easy and gets kids to stop bitching about being hungry. If anybody has a sub $15 frozen pizza that they think is worthy please post up. I am all about quick and easy.

Yup, just like that. Totally to be expected IMHO when there is that much toping on a pizza.

Yeah $33 is a bit crazy for a frozen pie you have to cook yourself. Even the best pizza in the region I know of are not that expensive.

I know there is too much topping, but this makes it very delicious! I do the same thing; I love adding my own twists, like chili flakes and a dash of oregano.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of the Kirkland brand's pepperoni pizza, which is one of the best Costco frozen food. It's thin, has a good crunch to it, and the pepperoni is just right.

The reason the toppings all slide to one side is Costco’s fault.

They cut the top of the box off the case, then lay it on it’s side to display the top of the product boxes to the customer.

Bought a Dominos handmade pan
-garlic Parmesan sauce
-Philly steak
-onions
-green peppers

Was delish.

On topic. Could not eat it all and was flying far away. Put it in freezer. Came back 5 days later.

Microwaved. Tasted the same

Recommend Dominos frozen pizza.

My take on the Motor City Pizza; Meh. Lots of bread, almost no sauce, modest amount of pepperoni. Cheese was good, and it baked up fine, Still, it's cheesy bread with pepperoni topping, not in my opinion, a real deep dish pizza.
