Yeah.

This is a game changer.

I just pressure cooked some eggs.

Hi pressure.~5 minutes to heat up, 5 minutes cook time, 5 minutes resting under pressure... Damn eggs practically peeled themselves. A little seasoning (pepper, salt, MSG), and holy balls that was quick and delicious.

I'm really digging the 'put stuff in, push a button, come back 10-15 mins later' aspect of this...

Sometimes I do 4 minutes, 5 slightly overdone IMHO. But agree, I was amazed too. We feed the dog one a day (sale lower grade B eggs, so make 7-8 a pop for him)

The "5-5-5" method for doing eggs in the IP is well-known, but it seems that everyone has different results. I personally settled on 3 minutes at high pressure followed by a quick release, which gave me yolks that were a little softer but not runny.

I also think that the more eggs you do, the less time you want to set on the IP. I think more eggs = more time to get to pressure before the timer starts = the eggs are a little more cooked before the timer ever starts counting down.

It was my first time.

I wanted to make sure and spend a little extra time, to make sure I didn't have a premature release.

:wink05:

I'll try it quicker next time.

They weren't overdone.. Pretty perfect as far as what most people consider a hard boiled egg. I prefer mine kinda in between soft and hard boiled, so in that respect they were a little overdone for me but still delicious and filling.

I’m not a hard-boiled egg guy, so you should definitely listen to me! :ROFLMAO:

However, my wife loves ‘em, and when I started making them according to the following recipe, she loved ‘em.

In a nutshell, it’s 1 cup water, IP rack goes in, 6+ eggs in one layer…then, 5 minutes high pressure, 3 minute slow release, then quick release, and immediately into an ice bath.

She loves the taste, and ease of peeling.

Nice. Yes the ice bath is key!
