Standing Rib roasts on sale at Safeway for 5.77lb with digital coupon! I picked up an 18lb one last night for Christmas dinner. (and a couple more dinners too)

Be sure and watch the price after you enter your Safeway club card, it rang up at 7.99 lb and i had them correct it.

You have to sign up online with "Safeway for U" then clip the digital coupon in the "Coupons and deals" section and boom! Cheap Prime rib!

All right, that helped me decide.

I just put the whole SOB into the freezer, and I'll figure it out another day!

Is it something I wrote? :rofl9:

Side note. Safeway has borderline deceptive pricing

I have never had that problem before with digital coupons, it's just a glitch in the system but it pays to pay attention.

If you look at the price of that Rib roast, there is the "regular" Price, then the "member" Sale price in Yellow. Digital coupon prices are never on the Product, but he did indeed get it for 5.77 lb.

No argument there. Great price. I was not referring to this deal in particular. I'm just a cruise missile shopper. Wife is the sane one.

I grabbed an 18lbs roast at Safeway and the checkout helper made a bank error in my favor. $47 otd. We had ribeye steaks Saturday night, a 14lbs prime rib Sunday night, and prime rib French dip sandwiches tonight.

Needless to say, my toilet is not happy.

Wow....I paid 86 bucks for my 18lb Roast and i thought i scored! They reweighed it didn't they? It overhangs the scale on both sides, i bet you were charged for much less weight because of the digital coupon and bad math.
