Are those split breasts bone in with skin?

 I'm really jonesing for some thighs right now to play with on the kettle.... but I have 5-6 packs of legs in the freezer right now that need to be culled.... and I'm trying to whittle down the 3 smoked breast (from whole birds) and make my way back to the turkey breast thats lurking in there too..... I'm all set for some sammys for the coming hot week! I've got some spectacular pork to work on too

I sense some legs being thawed for the weekend....

My neighbor's girlfreind gave me ~2.5 quarts of some wonderful pasta salad that I've been feasting on for the last 3-4 days with enough left for that many more..... felt bad that I let a bag of coleslaw go bad on me, but damn --- that pasta salad is waaaay to good to waste!!! Lots of cherry tomatoes, 3 types of olives, peperoni, salami and chunks of mozzarella --- I'm even putting up with the raging bouts of gas that I get from the cucumbers that are in there because its so damn good! That bag of coleslaw hurt me to throw away --- it was ~half red cabbage - don't see that very often.

Pork loin makes pretty good Jerky. You need to marinate it longer than beef to get the flavor in though.
48 hours is the minimum from what I have found.
I have about 4lbs in the Smoker right now.

Wife was at Safeway in yelm yesterday and almost all the meat was buy one get one, she called me for more money to stock up on Ribeyes and chucks. Figured I'd pass along the info to the good cooks here!

At current Safeway pricing that would make it just about like normal price then?

^ Yes.

Even the 50% off meat doesn’t interest me most of the time. It’s just too much for what it is.

QFC has chicken legs, thighs and split breasts for $1.29/# this week.
Planning on picking up some thighs and a breast or two so I can play with the kettle!

They have Patagonia Pink Shrimp shelled and deveined for 5.99 lb too. (Raw)
I like QFC's Meat counter, good stuff there.

I ran into QFC to grab some chicken thighs for the $1.29 - was planning on one or two split breasts too...... then I see they have whole birds for $0.99.... fuuuuk.... I REALLY wanted to play with the kettle - but damn, cheap whole birds..... I picked up two 3 paks of thighs.... then I called my neighbor and told him about the whole birds --- he said he'd run down and grab the birds, so I'll cook the thighs tomorrow and share with them and then we'll do whole birds on the smoker on Wed.

GO has Sheboygan brats for $3 for a # pak - real Wisconsin brats --- picked up some cheddar brats and smoked them last night ---- really NICE! Might have to go back for more.

I thought about that..... for some reason, I prefer to cook all the same pieces in a cook or a whole bird --- just something I've picked up in the last couple of years - minimizes the amount of thinking needed. I was actually wondering how the (monster) breasts would cook compared to the (somewhat small) thighs.... I'm sure it wouldn't have been a big deal and I would've figured it out.

(Same) parts are for smoke grilling --- whole birds go on the WSM for smoking and I do two at a time to stay in good with my neighbors. After I get a couple more cooks on the kettle I'll be up for trying a spatchcock chicken on it --- or if I end up wanting a whole bird and the neighbors aren't around, I want to try a spatchcock on the WSM too. Toying with whether or not to pick up a beer can rig.... I found one for $4 at GO - it would be fun once or twice, but I don't see it getting used alot.
