Only a 5 gallon batch at the behest of my youngest.
Unfortunately, he insisted on putting citrus in the mix. Really bad idea.
Now there are 5 gallons of fairly potent mead that tastes like a green fuzzy rotten orange.
Pretty sure I'll drink it anyway.
Any suggestions on how to mask the flavor?
I'm thinking pineapple juice might not be a bad idea.

Never liked mead.
I say dump it. Sometimes fermentation goes awry.
Well it shouldn't give you shits, maybe just headache and cramps.

Well, bottled it up and kick started a second fermentation so it'll be highly carbonated FWIW.
No way I'd dump it ... too frugal.
FYI a couple years ago I had a leak in my 25 gallon fermenter. Caught it before too long but vinegar flavored apple cider was the result. Managed to get 12% alcohol ... still drank it all. Came to like it.
So far pineapple juice seems to work OK. Mango juice also is OK.
4.8 gallons to go!

Oh, need to clarify.
Certainly adding citrus juice is possible. For stronger citrus flavor add juice after primary fermentation just prior to bottling.
My problem is the boy chunked in hunks of fruit, rind and all, into the primary fermentation batch.

You can get used to just about anything if you have enough of it.... I found that out when I got stuck with 4 handles of Everclear..... After a while, you tend to like it.... or not care.

Its not like you're gonna WASTE 4 handles of EC..... It mixes with anything/everything --- you just have to learn to pour 1/2 oz per drink instead of 1 oz..... otherwise the nights get REALLY short.....
And cutting it 50:50 with water basically made it a 100 proof vodka.
Get off your high horse.
