Carne asada.

Marinate flank steak for 24 hours in a mixture of soy sauce, orange juice, lime juice, garlic, lemon juice, onion, jalapenos, cumin, chili powder, coriander and a couple of other things.

Grill. Slice thinly, then chop into bite-size pieces and make awesome steak salads for the whole damned week. :cheers2:

I'll admit, after looking at the photo it doesn't look like a prize-winner . . . but it is.

Looks great..

I always buy extra for this reason, but for some reason my plan of having leftovers never works.

It was maybe . . . medium? I kept it on the grill until it was about 130 degrees at the center, then let it rest for a bit. It was still pink in the middle.

That Alton Brown skirt steak looks freaking delicious!

Oh it is, it is. You have to use lump hardwood charcol though, the regular compressed kingsford charcol stuff makes too much ash.

For dinner tonight, TheMissus treated us to a chicken Caesar salad with canned pears on the side.

It is cold and rainy today so I wanted something that would stick to my ribs so I made some homemade sausage gravy and cheated with some of those pop the can biscuits to make some killer biscuits and gravy.
