I've been trying out various margarita-on-the-go options this summer. The seltzer/White Claw type stuff (the Topo Chico is the best) aren't bad but don't really scratch the itch. The various kinds from the gas station all suck, they're either too sweet or they try to be like the Topo Chico and fall short. Gas station. Yes. Probably all that needs to be said.

Stumbled across the Cutwater Lime Margarita in a can. Holy heck! These are DELICIOUS! Like a double margarita each. Tequila, lime juice, triple sec. No Kool-Aid, no carbonation, no sugar, no B.S. I've maybe had a better margarita in a bar once or twice in my life, and it would run about $10 each out and about these days. These are $11 for a 4 pack. Even so, they could be churched up a bit. Time to get a bottle of Gran Marnier and turbocharge these suckers.

Report complete. Gran Marnier + Cutwater Lime Margarita = saw an astral projection of Jimmy Buffett in my living room. He nodded approvingly. We traded Hawaiian shirts. It was pretty awesome.

Or is this delirium tremens? Ah, whatever.

Which means that a full serving is like 500 calories. Worse than the canned margarita.

Yeah no hard feelings m'dude. All in good fun. Alcohol has 7 calories per gram. You wanna get drunk, it'll take calories, there's no way around it. A little sugar helps the medicine go down.

This is probably a bad time to make my post about the limoncello I just made.

This Buffalo Trace Kosher Wheat is simply fantastic. It’s 7-year-old Weller and can be found for a super decent price—if you know where to look.
