Damn Jacy, that stuff costs more than 2 tickets to the Kraken and parking! I just bought a Bottle of Knob Creek 9 small batch for my SIL, (i don't know shit about Whiskey) and thought it should be pretty good. Apparently that's Ghetto Bourbon...

Last night’s line up was epic. Everything was amazing, but the EHT 18year Marriage was my favorite. Attachment: 7BAA036F-5F4D-4530-ABE7-33A27727AFBA.jpeg Food was phenomenal, too. Deer, antelope and moose steaks with smoked mac ‘n cheese. And rum cakes for dessert. Attachment: 7E1B2B35-25B4-4F17-84C2-0D6BC35D3185.jpeg

It has a distinctive flavor, and since I suck at identifying these things, I'll just quote from the back label: "With velvet tides of fig, spiced pears, a hint of anise, & sweet cane sugar, this rye will linger and fill your palate from first sip to last." And I have to agree! Edit: Finished and bottled in Ferndale, WA, by the way.

Sounds good! At first read, I thought you wrote you finished the bottle Then I re-read I haven’t ventured into the Rye’s much…probably time to change that…

“Finished” bourbons are all the rage right now and I just can’t quite get on board. Sure, some are pretty good. But in many cases it seems like they’re just trying to cover up the fact that they made mediocre whiskey and still need to sell it.
But YMMV. What’s the saying? “There are no bad whiskeys. Just some that are better than others.”

But this is a rye. Very different. I’m sure you’d like it.
