Made a really good drink last night - a twist on an Old Fashioned.

2-4 parts bourbon or whiskey
1 part honey
1 part water
ice cubes
garnish with cherries or a slide of citrus

Combine honey and water in small sauce pan, and stir and heat to a syrup. Let cool. Once cooled, add this and 2-4 parts liquor (depending on how strong you like your drink) and ice and garnish to a glass. Enjoy.

I had 3 of these strong drinks last night and they were fabulous!

Found some Stillhouse Bourbon locally. I’ve only ever gotten their stuff in the south before, and even then it was their Moonshine which is interesting but not my favorite. I prefer bourbon so was excited to find this.
It’s pretty good!

White Claw's New 100-Calorie Spiked Seltzer Is Here And It's Basically Vodka Soda In A Can

Image
For a limited time, White Claw is releasing a crisp unflavored version of its beloved hard seltzer. The brand announced its plans for the "pure" launch March 28 and confirmed its in-store arrival for shortly after. So, no patience necessary-they're hitting shelves April 1.

The 100 calorie cocktail, which contains 5 percent ALC/VOL and 0 grams of sugar, is the perfect vodka soda alternative as is.

I have some Glencairn glasses that I use most of the time:

I also have a pair of these that were given to me as a gift, and they kick ass with a very high coolness factor:

I can't decide and I need to start cooking like NOW.

The one on the left ($20) is from my old dentist's winery (dentist!!) and the one left from Italy ($9). Need a vote, stat!!

Every distillery in Scotland that I've been to uses those type of glasses.
Nicely rounded bottom that molds around your hand (to warm the whisky) and a narrow top to concentrate the vapors released by warming.

You already blew it not having a glass in your hand while you cook :wink05:

And if you're opening both, always open the better bottle first :thumbsup2:

Hope dinner was good ...

Dinner was awesome. I must say the one on the left was great. The one on the right for another night.

My (ex) dentist made at least one good bottle of wine. Oddly that wine is not on their site.
