Starbucks sucks on so many levels ! Weak and lousy tasting coffee, overpriced, if I ask for a large, don't try to teach me another language, just give me what I goddamn asked for...
Tried them twice, but when you can get a Dunkin' for half the price and stronger....
They did get in good cinnamon rolls tho...….. Liked going in with a cup of DD in my paw and order a cinnamon roll on the way to work.
For home brew Peets seems pretty good, Black Rifle is decent too, still trying all the little places around the PNW

Is there a Duinkin Donuts around here? My office keeps sending me gift cards for them. There coffee is passable - much better than Starsucks for sure.

I just checked.
None in Washington state. :crybaby:
I remember having one right in Burien.

I've been enjoying the Major Dickason's Blend from Peet's. I buy the whole beans in the 2-lb bag at the Business Costco in Lynnwood and then grind them before I leave the store. It has relatively low acid and doesn't taste like it's been roasted within an inch of its life. Very smooth cup of coffee.

Im a huge fan of Fidalgo Coffee Roasters in Burlington. Their Fidalgo Gold is a go to, and their Seacoast is quite good too!

I usually use the french press.

I put the hot water (not boiling) in first.
Then I spread the grounds (medium/fine) very softly over the top of the water so they float and form a "cake". I let it sit for 4 minutes. By then the cake is soaking wet/fluffed up and dark black.
I then stir it.
After that I wait ONE minute and then I will spoon off the foam/froth on top and any floating grounds.
After about 6-7 more minutes all the grounds will have settled on the bottom. I will press it even though it doesn't really do anything other than act as a strainer as I pour it out.

I get a nice dark, strong coffee that tastes great (to me at least, and most folks that I make a cup for).

Its not bitter like you would expect from waiting that long.

Give it a try.

If you need low/no acid, you need cold brew:https://www.jamieoliver.com/features/how-to-make-cold-brew-coffee/

Dead Man's Reach by Raven's Brew Coffee is excellent. I do a rough grind with French press. Their other products are solid too. There is a roaster in Tumwater.

I've also heard great things about Black Rifle Coffee co. Great veteran supporters.

My wife likes her Nespresso machine. Coffee isn't bad, and can be made quick.

However, if you are looking for a coffee stand Northwest Grind is top notch. Coffee and service is excellent, prices are great, and the owner is a WAgun member who is nothing but class.

Don't waste your money on Stump Town cold brew in the stubby bottle. Straight up horse urine. Tastes like ass.

The best coffee I've tried was in Ecuador - real deal, no fucking preservatives or chemicals at all.
Then I stopped drinking so-called coffee that is sold here. My stomack just can't handle that artificial crap.

Heh. the "best coffee" is wasted on you troglodytes! :ROFLMAO:

"Best Coffee" is a function of bean varietal, growing elevation/climate, processing method, roasting process, age of bean post-roasting, and preparation method.
These people are disqualified from commenting:
  • Anyone making cowboy coffee
  • Anyone using an automatic espresso machine
  • Anyone who finds anything from Starbucks palatable (unless they go to the Roastery)
  • Anyone who puts sugar or cream in their coffee!

If you want really, really good coffee, go ask for a pour-over at Olympia Coffee in Tacoma or Olympia. Or, if you're cool, come over and I'll make you some great coffee that is sweet enough to not need sugar to mask the ugly burned out taste.
