I refuse to drink Starbucks for many reasons and one of them being it tastes like crap. We started carrying Peets coffee house blend here at work, and it's some pretty good stuff.
I need to get my hands on some of the Waguns blend, but I forgot who the member was that sells it................

Anthem coffee is roasted by Dilanos. They do a good job. There are a lot of local roasters (and some are great!). I've found that the best comes from BlueBeard or Valhalla in Tacoma, or Batdorf & Bronson in Olympia.
Most people enjoy coffee, but couldn't tell one from the other in blind test.
Here are some tips for getting great coffee: 1. Buy a single origin bean roasted between 3 and 7 days ago. Blends are... well, blends. 2. If you like your steak rare, but your coffee roasted dark, just go buy some Folgers. 3. Grind it yourself (with a burr grinder, not a bladed chopper). Do this as you use it, minutes before brewing it, not in advance. 4. Measure it out. 16:1. Not just a few scoops and a pot of water. 5. Use a pour over device (such as a Chemex, Hario, or Melitta), or a full emersion brew system such as a French Press or AeroPress. Preference to pour over. 6. If your coffee needs sugar or cream, it's not good. Start putting ketchup on your steak.
With a bean of decent quality, the roast, grind, and prep will have more impact on your cup than anything else. Subtle regional differences are great, but you can easily loose those by messing up any of the other steps. I *really* like coffee. If you want to get snobbed up on it, send me a PM and come on over.

I forgot about bluebeard, great coffee too. I had Valhalla at a farmers market, so they have a cafe?

I wouldn't say they have a cafe. They have a few benches and tables inside you can sit at, but it's pretty small. They're on 6th Ave as well.
