Rib eye SV @ 130 degrees for 2 hours.
Asparagus 10 min in salted boiling water. Hollandaise sauce.
3 oz. lobster tails broiled for 5 minutes.

Typical fast food junky. I'm guessing you haven't tried it. SV is not something new, just unfamiliar for the uninitiated. The next project that will make you fast food junkies cry will be dry aging. It's not like I had to play with it for 2 hours, it just sits there. Then I grill it for about a minute on each side for a moist tender steak that is MR from edge to edge.

Dude it's not a gimmick. It really is one of the best ways to cook meat. But go ahead and enjoy your overcooked on the outside steak, I'll be here with my 126* med rare steak.

I'd rather you disagree than MRC agree. :cheers2: Seriously SV is not a gimmick. It doesn't work for everything, but for some things it rocks. It's like any thing if you don't know what the limitations are it can suck. I know of many people that have turned a steak totally inedible on a grill. SV is very forgiving, so that you are less likely to over cook something. "Your mind is like a parachute, it works better when it's open".
