Most of you know what Ghee is, but what I never knew it was available off the shelf. I Know how to make it, but is kind of a pain. Some other fun facts: Higher smoke point; 450, olive oil 350. No refrigeration required. Trans fat, sodium, and gluten free. Paleo/Keto friendly.

Another fun fact: it's clarified butter (milk solids removed). For those that don't know what it is :)
From what I hear, cans of it last a long time. Most vegetable oils start going rancid pretty quickly and are halfway to linseed oil in about a year. Obviously ghee is not vegetable based.

I found this: Quote: Be sure to look for grass-fed, organic ghee whenever possible to ensure you’re getting the maximum amount of nutrients without extra added ingredients.

Any grass-fed butter is far better (nutritionally) than grain fed. It's easy to tell, grass-fed is a darker yellow. I have scads of these but we don't break them open very often.

Pretty easy to make fresh ghee yourself. Keeps fine, too.

I read a thing today on reddit about the Indian buffet in Olympia. Apparently they use veg oil in the buffet instead of Ghee so you get full quicker. If you order from the normal menu the dishes are made properly with Ghee.. fun fact I guess.

I don't know if it was them, or something else, but the day after deciding to try them I needed to make a few trips to the toilet the next day. Just a little PSA. I'm not too crazy about their buffet, if I ever go back I think I would go to the menu.
