Here's one recipe, and an idea.... My wife likes to make what is popularly called a Dragon Bowl, or Buddha Bowl. Essentially, you create a base, then veggies, then protein, then a sauce. This sort of goes back to your solo recipe thread.....I'll cook a few big meals throughout the week, then on the off nights, we'll create Dragon Bowls with leftovers, and she'll pack & freeze a couple for lunches. I'll also roast veggies, or peppers or something on those nights, to boost the veggie content. It lends itself to clean eating, and eliminating processed foods.... So, one recipe is below, it uses the cauliflower rice you mentioned, as well as mushrooms & spinach... It's tasty and filling, and can be a side, or a main dish if you're going for a meatless day... The only changes I make is I use a whole onion, instead of a half, 2 celery stalks, instead of one, and I add a few Tablespoons of Sambal Oelek before I add the cauliflower rice. https://www.primaverakitchen.com/mushro ... et-recipe/You can actually buy cauliflower rice in the frozen section everywhere from Cash & Carry, & Costco, to Freddy's. Not sure about Walmart, but even Green Giant & Birdseye makes it now. It's really easy to make if you had a food processor. Another thing to consider is getting a Spiralizer, or similar apparatus....you can make Zucchini Noodles & other things... Do your research, though, some are better than others. Hope this helps a little. Let me know what you think if you make the skillet recipe

Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk I already do, but looking for some non/low carb substitutes for some of my carby desires. How low carb are you going for? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk Do'in the low carb thing. I've lost 30+ lbs. Are you doing Keto style low carb where you are only eating 30 grams of carbs a day or are you just trying to reduce your carb intake? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk Not really sure to be honest. Just not eating breads, and taters. Meat & vegies. My family is vegetarian i am not. Since i got married ive dropped almost 75lbs. I still eat meat but its not everyday. Cut back on soda and youd be suprised hoe much weight drops off. I still drink it but not nearly as much as i used to. Pinterest is your friend for recipes and whatnot

I haven't had soda, really, since 1983 and I'm still a fat slob!.
I'll have, maybe, a soda once in a couple of years, if that... But I LOVE milk, and there is sugar in it - as well as fat, and probably some lactose intolerant bloating. I wonder how much such allergic bloating is misconstrued as fat?

Here is another vegie/low carb thing I might try: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gorWlpQVksA spiralizer that turns vegies into pasta sort of. You know that big ass broccoli stem? This makes it edible. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B075SLJ42S/ ... 4e0edbabeb

As far as the spiralizer, it sort of ties into other questions you've asked... For example, you can make a sauce you like, say, a Pesto... Freeze it in ice cube trays...pop 'em out & put 'em in a freezer baggie after frozen. Come home, spiralize zucchini (which you generally don't cook), then nuke however many pesto cubes you want, & pour the hot pesto over the zucchini noodles...and, bam, less than two minutes, you have a great side.... If you cook the frozen breasts, from the other recipe, over the weekend, nuke the breast, too, and you have a baked chicken breast, and zucchini noodles with pesto, in under 5 minutes... You can cut the breast up & nuke extra pesto, or have it as the meat part of an entree, either way, a healthy, tasty, 5 minute dinner on a rough Monday is pretty cool...
