That makes sense. We already had an Instant Pot, and after researching ‘til I had a headache, and way too much info, this one was highly rated, and supposed to do a great job on root vegetables, and be easy to clean. Probably all lies, but we’ll see Just made Sous Vide steaks over the weekend for the wife’s b-day, so, she’s getting used to the gadgets

OK, gonna throw my current two cents on air fryers out there. For the last couple of years, I've been using the Ninja SP101 "Flip" Digital Oven: https://www.amazon.com/Ninja-Multi-Purp ... 07SCGY2H6/. It flips upwards to conserve counter space when you're not using it, it has a number of functions include dehydrate, and on paper it felt like the right choice when I bought it. And it did work well for a number of things, including potato wedges, reheating leftover pizza, etc. However, I always found it very difficult to clean properly, and its very short height was a real problem in some cases. Put a baked potato in there, and you're right at the top -- nothing taller would fit. So . . . I just gave it to a friend who's interested in giving it a whirl. I was becoming interested in trying the old-school drawer-type air fryers, and then I found the Cosori Dual Blaze: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BJHB2BD/. The price was at $150 when I found it, so I jumped -- and so far, it has been much, MUCH better than the Ninja. With the dual heating elements (one above and one below), I rarely flip anything. The basket is very non-stick, and super easy to just wipe out when I'm done. We've been putting veggies in there with a little oil and seasoning, and bam, ten minutes later they are cooked very nicely. This morning I put in a frozen sausage patty, seven minutes later I cracked an egg into it (into a ring), and three minutes later I had a cooked sausage patty and a sunny-side-up fried egg. Then w-i-p-e and it was clean. It has wifi and an app, which is cool but of questionable value. Anyhow . . . something to consider if you're in the market.

Cosori recalled 2m units, mine is included. Damn, thanks for posting. Looks like I dodged this bullet.
