It’s just another shooting hobby. These are not the type of “BB guns “ you all may be used to.
These things are amazingly accurate, quite and just plane fun to shoot.
I’m shooting regularly in my back yard. No need to go to a shooting range or drive miles out to some over crowded pit.
And until they build town homes on the property below me. I can (and do ) shoot out to 100 yards.

Nice :thumbsup2:

I have successfully eradicated 99.9 % of the mice and rats around my yard.
Every few months I get a mouse. But I see the cherries are starting to turn red.
So that means crows and starlings.
.Here is a mouse I got last month.

.And my newest addition. A RWS Diana Mdl 34 in .177.

The starlings are out ! I’ve got two cherry trees on my property and the birds are enjoying them.
I did not get this gun for shooting pest. It is a low power gun. (sub 12 foot pounds )
It shoots a .177 cal pellet at approximately 700 FPS. I’ve taken two starlings with it. One at about 25 yards. And this morning I got this one at about 15 yards.

Short answer : No

Long answer : Standard Diabolo shaped pellets were not designed to go 1000 feet per second. Even professional airgun shooters with a $2000.00 set up. Do not shoot pellets over 1000 FPS. So “deiseling” will do nothing for increased performance .
What it will do is blow up and burn out the piston seal on your air gun.
I got this gun specifically for its low FPS. I have another air rifle that does shoot a .22 cal. 18.13 grn pellet at 980 FPS. But it’s not really a back yard plinker.

I am so ready to pop a coyote. How do they taste?

If my neighbor isn't home can I hit him with 45ACP?

Well I’m sure you all have been curious if I’m still doing my backyard hunting.
I’ve had the week off from work. Really enjoying the snow. And feeding my backyard birds.
I took out at least three rats earlier in the week. Got three or four starlings.
Pro Tip. Due to the snow on the ground I think it is more difficult for the rats to find food. So they come out during daylight hours
The rats are out and easy to see in the snow. So keep your eye out. You might see one run by your bird feeder or chicken pen.
And just this morning I got my first English Sparrow. :thumbsup2: They just don’t come into my yard. But I’ve been putting out bird seed a few times a day. I’m sure the sparrows see all the other birds feeding. So that brings them in.
