Anyone on the west side of the state do any crawfish fishing? Apparently they can be found in many lakes including lake washington.

Yep, lot's of then in Lake Washington. Years ago we used to Dive under the old east Channel bridge from Bellevue to Mercer Island and pick them from the Concrete piles.
You can find them in most Freshwater this side of the Mountains.

Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish are loaded with them, some are huge. Years ago I bought a boat from an oldtimer in Be!levue who commercial trapped crawdads in Lake Washington, and madea decent profit at it.
I trapped hot and heavy for awhile but that's been over 20 years ago. I still occassionally do, but a buddy has my pots now. It seems that the only way to do well is to leave thd pots in overnight, which got to be a drag after awhile, although talking about it now has me kinda sparked up again, and I've been fishing the big lake about 3 nights a week lately anyway. Hmmm?

Just make some homemade cone trappy things and let em soak overnight from a dock on the lake.
Don’t put them in your fish tank unless you adjust the ph level.

We used to drop pots on our way out of the Kenmore launch, usually did pretty well, until someone stole all our pots.
Same with crabbing on the sound for crab, don’t leave them unattended, or they are gone.

Used to as a kid on the Sammamish Slough. Wouldn’t eat them out of there nowadays though. Behind Mclendon Hardware, and by the old grain elevator in Woodinville were hotspots 30 years ago. Of course, the slough 30 or more years ago used to be a decent steelhead fishery. Times change.
