Hunting Pest Last Night

Tue Sep 24, 2019 6:52 am

First Blood for my Benjamin Marauder (PRod)
These two rats moved into the chicken run.
14.9 Grn .22 cal pellets. 660 FPS and 14.5 Foot Pounds of Energy (FPE) bait pile is 6 yards from shooting position, I set up a Harbor Fright Driveway alarm next to a bait pile of chopped up french fry’s. The alarm is similar to the doorbell when you walk into a convenience store. The first rat, a female came out at 8:50 last night. Drop it on the spot. Then sound asleep 12:20 am. The “driveway alarm” goes off. I jump from bed and go check the bait pile with my sightmark Ghosthunter night vision. Sure enough another rat. Grab the gun turn on the economy grade scope mount night vision. Put the cross hairs right between the eyes and squeeze the trigger. DRT

I have two of those sensors in my driveway and yard myself, but to keep the 2 legged critters in check.

BTW, nice shootin'!

my female cat brought a young rat to the front lawn the other day, it was still alive and sitting upright, not sure if it was injured or just wore out but it didn't run away when the cat released it.
took my BB gun and put one in it's head from 2 feet away

Kitty got a treat

I think I paid $150.00 for the night vision. Here is a review of it.

So... are you thinking doing full mounts or just the heads?

JK, that's awesome. I would have never of thought to use the doorbell alarm

Yes and yes.
This sight is sketchy. I had to place my or two different times.
But a lot of the guys on Airgun Nation order stuff through them so I gave it a shot. It took exactly a month to show up.

Its the Chinese Amazon pretty much. That and alibaba. Seems sketchy but its a lot of just translation issues. It is kind of eye opening at times when you see something being sold for 20 bucks here then find it there for the 1-2 bucks it actually costs
