This lil yote ventured a lil too close to the house & ended up having a bad day.
Should see a surge in rabbits next year.

One less yote. You have animals?
They seem to be thick right now. I've been seeing them quite a bit over the last week or two here. I always seem to see them right after the dogs are out, like they know there is a target. I guess they snatched the neighbor's dog from right next to him a few years back. I think he thinned a few after that....
Haven't had to shoot one yet, but they seem to get more and more brave by the week...have a pistol and can next to the bed just in case!

A co worker who lives in Federal Way said one ran off with one of his chickens about 8am Sunday morning. Food must be getting harder to find due to winter.

We have Yotes all over the place. Hear them crying at night from my backyard (need thermal....) Losing a chicken or cat is my biggest fear. We let the chicken's have free roaming of the non-fenced property every afternoon. They put themselves to bed and we TRY to remember to lock the run and coop back up at night, but it doesn't always happen. The cats, we try and get the indoor/outdoor ones in at night, the outdoor one has survived for 12 years outside, rain cold snow and with no front claws. She and the raccoons hang out together...

We lost an outdoor cat a month ago to coyotes after 3 years of living in the forest. Recently we adopted a small dog that the owner couldn’t take care of anymore and I keep telling my wife to not let the dog run around outside when she’s not watching, but she keeps doing it anyway. It won’t be long until it’s coyote food.

Neighbors have chickens & periodically they get picked off by coyotes. So I try & do my part in keeping nature in balance.
